SAFETY

Good health and safety is good business and First Engineering is clearly committed to demonstrating high levels of performance in this crucial area. This year, the company received a prestigious silver award from RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and this follows on from the success of previous years, when it gained bronze, silver and three consecutive gold awards.
The company is also an approved Railtrack safety-training organisation and holds a Railway Safety Case and Railtrack's Contractors Assurance Case. All employees are required to demonstrate competency and will have been assessed and hold an authority to work certificate. The company has its own Competency Assessment Centre, which is approved to BS EN ISO9002.
