MAINTENANCE

The Maintenance Division carries out the full range of rail maintenance activities for customers who own rail networks and equipment or provide passenger, freight and commercial rail transport.
The Division looks after 2,610 miles of track, signalling and telecoms and associated electrical equipment in Scotland and 600 miles of track, 900 sets of points and over 1,200 signals and associated telecoms in Manchester.
The Division also provides a complementary portfolio of services for depots, sidings and non mainline infrastructure and a control facility manages the 24 hour, 365 day rapid response service of integrated teams who are located strategically throughout the areas of geographical responsibility.
