TRACK RENEWALS

First Engineering's Track Renewals Division has a turnover of £35 million and is one of the UK's leading specialists in permanent way construction and renewals work.
Within this Division, there are substantial permanent way resources, ranging from technical supervisory to skilled and semi-skilled staff, encompassing all aspects of track construction, track renewals and track reconstruction work. The design capability is made up of fully skilled permanent way designers with a considerable breadth of experience preparing designs in some of the most complex track layouts.

First Engineering also carries substantial signalling and electrification resources, which can provide all the required auxiliary works involved in successfully completing all track renewals operations.
Current high profile contracts include the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and annual track renewals programmes in Scotland and the North West of England. Recent projects have included the Liverpool to Southport line and 55 miles of track renewal on the Settle to Carlisle line, Britain's most famous Heritage route and key freight artery.
