NEW PRODUCT INNOVATION

Never content with past achievements Factair has been busy developing a number of new products to ensure it remains the leader in its chosen markets.
For more than ten years Factair's range of Safe-Air Testers have been the best selling air quality testing instruments in its field. These units test for contaminants in breathing-air supplies to ensure that they are safe and conform to COSHH and British Standard requirements. New technology has allowed the business to develop a new tester, the F3000, which offers dramatic improvements over the previous generation of units.
Since it was first established in 1976, Factair's name has been synonymous with mobile breathing-air compressors. This year saw the launch of the BA25D 4 man unit, which is so quiet that it exceeds the latest EU noise regulations. This was developed as a result of customer demand for a compliant integrated unit with alarms and back-up systems designed to operate with the industry standard breathing-air masks.
Both of these products were launched in May at the Safety & Health Expo 2002, NEC Birmingham. They generated considerable interest from both customers and competitors alike!
Factair's innovative flair has also been focused on the water industry, where they have introduced a new product for cleaning water mains. The PS130C utilises a technique called air scouring, which was first pioneered in the UK by Factair in conjunction with the Water Research Council in the '80s. Air scouring is an extremely effective 'non aggressive' method of cleaning water mains and provides a method for local water authorities and contractors to quickly rectify problems with dirty drinking water.
