JACKSON CIVIL ENGINEERING
A QUALITY SUBMISSION

Jackson Civil Engineering has started work on an 18-month contract for the Highways Agency, to construct a new road by-passing Alveston on the A6 in Derby.

The £10 million project consists of all aspects of highway works, from site clearance to drainage and landscaping.
Jackson Civil Engineering was successful in its bid for the contract due to the exceptional quality mark it received from the client. Quality marks are awarded for the whole submission including the innovative solutions proposed for the construction work and also how the project will be managed with regard to the ecological, archaeological and resident liaison issues.
The Highways Agency was also impressed with Jackson Civil Engineering's ability to show how it works as a team with its designers and sub-contractors. They had great confidence in the fact that the recommended project team for Alveston was already a strong group with a good working history behind them.
URS are Jackson Civil Engineering's designers for the by-pass with ESL as the ecologists, APS, the archaeologists and Fira, the landscape architects.
