General notes on targets
Between 1999 - 2001 local buildings set their own targets for energy, recycling and waste/water, based on the existing environmental efficiency of the building.

Actions for 2002

• Set minimum UK wide reduction targets for energy and waste/water for occupied and investment properties
• Pledge to reduce one or more of our direct impacts as part of 'Making A Corporate Commitment 2' (MACC2) campaign. This DEFRA sponsored scheme will commit us to improving our performance on impacts that we have elected to reduce
• Communicate progress by adding best practice case studies to Prudential websites
