Notes:
PruPIM is the first property investment company in the UK
to have obtained Institute of Energy Accreditation for its
property portfolio. The Institute's certification process
includes independent verification of energy usage for the
past three years, management policy and reporting, actual
and planned energy efficiency measures, and improvements in
efficiency over a three year period.
PruPIM has agreed a method with the Institute of Energy Accreditation
to allow year on year comparison based upon value and size
of the portfolio. This will take into account the normal fluctuation
of the portfolio size over an accounting period.
Targets
PruPIM has agreed with the Institute of Energy Accreditation
a reduction target equivalent to 5% p.a. for 2002, with a
longer – term target to reduce energy consumption by 10% across
our entire property portfolio by 2005.
