Performance Overview
Context
We recognise that as a financial services company we have
the potential to impact on the environment in two distinct
areas.
1. Operational Activity Impacts
These include the direct impacts from buildings we occupy
or from properties under our management within the property
investment portfolio. Direct impacts include energy and water,
as well as those that result from day-to-day consumption of
goods and services e.g. use of paper. Our performance with
respect to our property portfolio is shown separately.
2. Commercial Activity Impacts
These include the indirect impacts arising from our commercial
activities and include socially responsible investment, in
companies and property, and our relationship with suppliers.
