PruPIM Socially Responsible Investment

Prudential Property Investment Managers (PruPIM) manages approximately £11.5 billion of property assets on behalf of a range of internal and external clients. The portfolio is diverse and includes shopping centres, flagship offices, retail parks and industrial units, across the UK.

PruPIM has had an approved environmental policy in place since 1999. This policy is currently under review as part of a broader assessment of environmental and social issues within PruPIM. Five working teams have been established to look at current activity and develop appropriate policies and programmes within each of the following areas:

• Environmental policies for PruPIM as a business
• Environmental policies for PruPIM as a provider of accommodation
• Social policies for PruPIM as a business
• Social policies for PruPIM as a provider of accommodation
• Socially Responsible Investment policies for PruPIM as a fiduciary
