Notes::
Volumes of waste and recycling for 2001 are estimated from
information obtained from service providers. This information
is subject to variation in content, quality and completeness.
That said, the quality of the data is increasing continuously,
which in time will allow for more accurate monitoring of various
waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
In 2000, Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre won a Business
and the Environment award for its waste and recycling scheme.
PruPIM recognises that recycling schemes can be progressed
further within its portfolio and properties under its management.
National Waste Management contracts planned for 2002 are expected
to improve management information and volumes of waste recycled.
