Coal prices: from 1988
This line chart shows the Coal Marker Price (Northwest Europe), the price of US coal receipts at steam-electric utility plants, Japan coking coal import price and Japan steam coal import price for the years 1988 to 2007. Coal prices are measured in $/tonne (US dollars per tonne). The Japan coking coal import price and Japan steam coal import price are both calculated as cif which is calculated by adding cost, insurance and freight (average prices).
