AFU distributes its products through an extensive and growing network of more than 1,300 independent brokers and tied agents. This network is spread evenly across France, as is the geographical spread of premium written, with some bias towards the major cities and more affluent regions of the country.

Concentration of brokers

A retail broker’s decision to develop a long term relationship with AFU will be based upon a number of factors including product pricing, policy wording, brand reputation, trust and quality service levels. AFU’s ability to offer a personal service that is responsive to the demands of the SME market has enabled AFU to be the chosen partner for many medium and smaller sized independent retail brokers.

AFU’s national network has been developed over many years with the top five retail brokers having a relationship with AFU going back more than ten years. These successful relationships are carefully managed.
