No director exercised any share options in 1999 and accordingly no gains were made.

All of the outstanding options awarded under the executive share option scheme were granted at the market value on the date of issue and no discount was applied.

The closing market price of the Company’s ordinary shares ranged between 161p and 261p during 2000 and was 198.25p on December 31, 2000.
