Review goals, plans and resourcing for UK sales and marketing, so that when the UK commercial market turns positive, we are able to grow the business successfully.

A revised marketing plan was developed and additional resources have been deployed, particularly focusing on expansion of the property account.

Implementation of Genus underwriting system to provide Amlin UK with materially enhanced underwriting information.

Implementation of Genus underwriting system delayed until 2009.

Expansion of Amlin UK electronic trading capability through Genus.

2009 priorities
  • Grow income and profitability of the property account through increased sales and marketing activity and, if appropriate, acquisition.
  • Review premium pricing to ensure that calculation of premium pricing movements are produced accurately and consistently across business classes.
  • Meet Group’s objectives with regard to implementation of new risk system and Solvency II preparations.
  • Complete implementation of Genus underwriting system.
