IN Cell Analyzer 3000 is launched, enabling pharmaceutical companies to screen live cells in real time in order to test potential new drugs more quickly and cost-effectively.

In July, Amersham Biosciences forms a collaboration with Sloan-Kettering Institute, research arm of the world-renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Using the IN Cell Analyzer, researchers will be able to scan the entire human genome, looking for pathways related to disease, once every 24 hours.
