Nycomed opens a new manufacturing facility for contrast media in Cork, Republic of Ireland. In 2002, the site is expanded and receives FDA approval for manufacturing and packaging of Omnipaque™, Omniscan™, and Visipaque™, to accommodate growing demand in the U.S. market for medical diagnostic products.
