Pharmacia's "droplet", designed by Swiss artist Armin Hofman, is launched as the corporate symbol. The droplet almost disappeared after Pharmacia merged with Kabi in 1991 - but Pharmacia Biotech rescued the symbol and relaunched it in 1995 in its present version.
