| Investment in own shares consists of shares in 3i Group plc
held by The 3i Group Employee Trust to meet its obligations under the Group’s
share schemes. The market value of these shares at 31 March 2004 was £62
million (2003: £34 million). The Trustee has waived its right to receive
dividends on the shares held by the Trust. The purchase of the shares is
funded by an interest free loan from 3i Group plc. |
